Betsie has 28 years experience in various fields of process engineering, primarily in process design in the hydrocarbon and oil refinery industry. Practical experience includes field check-out, commissioning and construction assistance.

Betsie joined AVEC in 2003 to strengthen the process engineering capability of the Hydrocarbon, Petrochemical and Chemical Process Division.

Previously, she spent 10 years with Fluor where she held the position of Principal Process Engineer. She has primarily worked on various refinery unit expansion projects for Sasol and Engen, and on a new natural gas reforming unit for Sasol.
